We utilise a Tiny Tablet for interactive engagement for our residents at Little Haven with all our residents having the opportunity to try this technology for games, puzzles etc

Innovative ideas are not limited to technology developments but also include exciting ways to promote health and wellbeing in our homes; whether that is through activities, nutrition or through designing communal rooms to allow our residents to engage as with our coffee shops.

We created our new specialist dementia wing Brock Village at Heartland Manor to offer an environment designed with our residents living with dementia at the heart of this project. Creating a post office, florist, cafe, and sensory room, supporting their daily journey with creative and engaging corridors full of interactive activities for residents to enjoy.

Electronic care plans

Back in 2022, we introduced the electronic care plan system Care Docs to allow our team to assist residents with their daily care needs by using our mobile devices to understand the ever changing needs of residents and to document the care provided.

This system ensures all staff existing and new understand the needs of your loved one and are able to meet their needs in a consistent and quality driven manner. Constantly caring and meeting resident’s needs.

Interactive tables

We have an interactive large touchscreen at Little Haven, residents with varying abilities benefit greatly from this large touchscreen technology, by being able to interact much more easily than with iPads, Android tablets or smartphones. The large screen app experience is vastly different and can help improve well-being, sense of happiness and achievement. Interactive tables are being used in the care environment to reduce boredom, provide stimulation and entertain in new ways. Interactive tables are a great example of inclusive technology in practice since they allow older people and those with disabilities to participate.
